As per the laws of India, there is no rule that PG Diploma should be for 1 year. We do not spend much time on theory and we directly go to practical part in the first week itself.
In our course, the facilitator helps you to learn the theories he practices and helps to improve your skills and not just knowledge. 100 hours is a good length of time to hone your skills. He will show how he practices counselling by doing counselling sessions in front of you and helps you to get a concrete idea of how to put the theories into practice.
In college courses, the ones who prepare the syllabus do not write the books for the syllabus. The academicians read the reference books and share their mere understanding that is why the course is only theoretical most of the time. The academicians are not all the time directly trained in the theories and models written in the books. So they are not able to train you in developing the skills with so many hours/months/years of education.
In our courses, the facilitator is the one who prepares the syllabus, writes the material and trains you in the model he practices. So you are learning from the person who made the model directly. That is why we say 100 hours is a good amount of time to learn the skills.
If you want to get trained more, then you may enroll in the 1 year course offered in partnership with GLOCAL UNIVERSITY. That course is for 200 hrs spread for 1 year of time.
