Popular Question 1: Will the internship be practical? Will I be able to observe a real counseling session?
We offer this internship as a training programme. Earlier, when we allowed interns to sit and observe real client sessions, 99% of clients did not give consent because they discuss personal family or marital issues and prefer privacy. So interns had to wait many days just to observe one session. That is why we changed it into a training model with real counselling sessions. We do not do mock sessions or role plays. You will observe at least three real counselling sessions, and you can use them for your case studies. You can also check Google Reviews by searching “Internship”. In clinical hospitals, patients with severe disorders may not mind interns observing. But our clients are normal people with day‑to‑day issues, so getting consent is very rare.
Popular Question 2: Why is it not free? Why do you charge?
We will charge you for the internship. The reason behind charging you for internship is as follows: We understand that the very reason behind joining as an intern is to get the practical exposure. We make sure that you get it. We would train you with all the necessary skills. We would like to you to respect and compensate our time and efforts. We do not ask our interns to do any work for us. If you join an organization where they provide free internship, you may have to do whatever work you are given and you may not be able to choose what you want to learn. They may even give data entry job which is no way directly related to counselling. If such a thing happens, you may get a certificate saying you did internship but the purpose of getting the practical exposure would not be met.
Popular Question 3: The requirement from our college is for 50 hrs, but you provide only 25 hrs. Can you not extend it according to our requirement?
Colleges ask for different internship durations, so we keep a standard 25‑hour programme. Please don’t worry about the hours — the training is fully practical and high‑quality. Many long internships include routine work, but here you will get real, hands‑on exposure.
We will give the certificate as per your college requirement (50 hours or 30 days). Extra hours/days will be covered through homework or assignments. Since certificate formats differ, we will collect the exact format from each participant.
Popular Question 4: Why is it not open to Distance Education or Work-Integrated Learning Programme (WILP) students?
Distance Education and WILP students are generally in the age group of 30–45, and their primary focus is on gaining practical skills that will help them enter the field immediately. This internship programme is not designed for that purpose. For such learners, the PG Diploma with Internship is more appropriate, as it provides practical skills, guidance on starting private practice, and other essential professional topics.

Other Institutes & Universities: Typically follow textbook-driven curricula, often focusing on traditional theories and fixed academic formats.
3. Specialization Scope
CCS Academy: Prepares learners for diverse counseling settings including schools, corporations, hospitals, addiction recovery centers, and grief counseling services.
Other Institutes & Universities: Often provide broad introductory exposure, with limited emphasis on specialized career pathways.
4. Our Promise
CCS Academy: Maintains transparency by focusing on genuine skill development and does not offer unrealistic job or client guarantees.
Other Institutes & Universities: Some may rely on marketing claims such as “100% placement guarantees” to attract enrollments.
5. Live Exposure
CCS Academy: Provides opportunities to observe real counseling sessions and authentic client concerns.
Other Institutes & Universities: Training is often restricted to simulated role-plays, case studies, and scripted exercises.

Other Institutes & Universities: May conduct larger classes of 60–100 or more students, making individualized attention challenging.

CCS Academy: Uses a blended learning model that combines 24/7 on-demand video learning with interactive weekday and weekend classes.
Other Institutes & Universities: Usually operate with fixed schedules, long-term campus commitments, or inflexible physical attendance requirements.
9. Faculty Base
CCS Academy: Training is delivered by active practitioners who continue to manage client cases in their professional practice.
Other Institutes & Universities: Teaching is often led by academic faculty whose primary role is instruction rather than active client work.
10. Languages
CCS Academy: Conducts training in both English and Tamil, helping learners address regional and community-specific communication needs.
Other Institutes & Universities: Commonly teach only in English, which may offer less exposure to regional-language counseling contexts.
